we love a good "everyone wear the same exact outfit" moment & of course it deserves a spotlight sometimes - but most of the time we suggest the mismatch-match approach to add a timeless feel to your photos. this helps your photos adapt to multiple situations: social posts, wall hanging, grandpas wallet, expensive senior yearbook page, mothers day mug, printed in books, wedding slideshow, etc. we love how the variety really brings out the group *and* highlights each person individually. we want to see those personalities shine!

one way you can really get into the spirit of mismatched-matching is by leaning into a fixed color palette. think of decorating a room: picking one or two main colors and then using two to four accenting colors to help support the vibes! we find this is particularly helpful for groups of three or more because it gives a little wiggle room without loosing harmony.

riverside is a very diverse, river front location. there are brick walkways, museums, and even picturesque parks. there is also a neat view of under the bridge that provides fun texture. the river faces the sunrise so it's even more amazing as a morning sesh.

alpine grove park is an adorable stop in mandarin that features a variety of large trees, some backdrop worthy historic housing and a boardwalk the reaches the river. parking is also very easy here!

tree hill nature center is a lovely members only nature preserve (we are members :) there are cute trails, beautiful trees, and boardwalks. a dedicated parking lot & a goat highway in the sky make this a memorable place for the fam.
